Managing Art Projects with Societal Impact

Through the past 9 months, LBS master students consulted the German artstar Verlag in the frame of their Student Consulting Project 2021. With a focus on the artwork #PeaceBell by Michael Patrick Kelly, they worked out strategic directions that allow to maximize the project’s societal impact. Moreover, they researched innovative funding concepts, as well as potential strategic partners on national and European level.

LBS Head of Research published a new book on Global Value Chains

Christian Reiner, senior researcher at LBS, has just published a new book on Global Value Chains (GVC). He co-edited the book together with Karin Fischer from the University of Linz and Cornelia Staritz, a development economist from the University of Vienna. Global Value Chains are a core element of the current phase of economic development. Currently, about 50% of global trade is organized within GVC.

We are delighted to announce that our students from the International Management & Leadership master program recently finalized their 8-month Student Consultancy Project under the title “Coca-Cola – Transforming Sustainability Efforts and Best Practices to the Customers’ mind”. Boon or Bane? Globalization and its Effects on Austrian Regions

Christian Reiner, senior researcher at the LBS, published a new peer reviewed journal article in the journal “Regional Science Policy & Practice” (RSPP) on the effects of globalization on structural change in the Austrian regions. He co-authored the paper with Sascha Sardadvar, who works as a senior researcher at WPZ Research in Vienna.

LBS Students Consulting Breitspur Planungsgesellschaft

Breitspur Planungsgesellschaft is a joint venture founded between four state railway companies, uniting Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine and Russia in a multinational railway project. The project is directed to bring a direct railway connection from Asia to the centre of Europe by extending the existing broad-gauge line from Kosice to the Twin City region Vienna-Bratislava.
