On August 31, Lauder Business School students participated in the panel discussion “Resetting the agenda: Boosting the CEE economy post COVID-19” within the frame of the European Forum Alpbach 2020 supported by the Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI). Challenged and united by the same opponent, COVID-19, leaders of the financial and governmental institutions discussed recovery plans for life after the pandemic as well as redefining their economies on sustainable and digitally fit grounds.
On March 9, our second semester International Management & Leadership students were invited to a “Peace workshop” in the Austrian Parliament by Member of the Parliament Mag. Martin Engelberg. The workshop primarily served to kick off the Peacebell project within the framework of the course Empirical Research Methods.
On November 21 we were honoured to host Dr. Andreas Bierwirth, CEO of Magenta Telekom, in the Lauder Business School ballroom. He inspired both the attending students and lecturers with his fireplace talk on courage and decisions, the role they played in his career path and the challenges facing the telecommunications industry as well as the leaders of tomorrow.
On September 20, we were delighted to welcome many proud families and friends to the Lauder Business School campus for a Masters graduation ceremony. The ceremony started with a welcoming speech by our Executive Director Alexander Zirkler in the beautiful baroque LBS ballroom. In his address, he highlighted the international quality of both our Master programs and drew the parallel: “The value of your diplomas will increase in time like the value of a good painting.”
On June 28 we were pleased to welcome numerous families and friends to the Lauder Business School campus for a graduation celebration. In his welcome address our Executive Director Alexander Zirkler congratulated the graduates and introduced our Guest of Honor, the US Ambassador to Austria – his Excellency Trevor D. Traina.
