On April 18, 2018, we were privileged to host Dr. Florian Koschat, the CEO of Pallas Capital Advisory AG as part of the Fireplace Talks at Lauder Business School. During the session, Dr. Koschat gave insight into his company operations, his personal path to success and a very strong motivational speech for our students.
On March 15, 2018, we were privileged to host Dkfm. Dr. Claus J. Raidl, President of the National Bank of Austria (OeNB – Österreichische Nationalbank) as part of the Fireplace Talks at Lauder Business School. During the session, Dr. Raidl offered insights into the OeNB’s mandate, its decision-making bodies, the tasks of the central bank as well as the current challenges facing the OeNB and the EU.
On March 2, our second semester bachelor students from the International Business Administration program had the opportunity to visit Vienna International Airport (Flughafen Wien) with Dr. Engelhardt as part of their Corporate Communication class.
On December 11, 2017 the LBS Career Center organized a fireplace talk with the CEO of the ÖBB Rail Cargo Group Dr. Clemens Först and the Executive Director Mr. Alexander Zirkler. In an inspiring session, the LBS students, faculty and staff had the opportunity to gain insights into the ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railways) operations and strategy, as well as learn about the interesting career path of our renowned guest.
On November 30, 2017 representatives from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) visited Lauder Business School as part of the LBS Career Center activities to present their Sales Graduate Program and meet the best LBS students. HPE Sales Manager Michael Dornheim and Graduate Account Manager Dennis Heumann introduced the digital disruption and transformation era and explained how HPE as a company is responding to these challenges with their solutions, products and services.
On May 11, 2017, LBS Bachelor’s and Master students had the opportunity to participate in a job application workshop organized by the Director of the Bachelor Studies, Prof. (FH) Mag. Julius Dem, MBA, and the LBS Career Center. In the course of the workshop students could discuss various job application topics such as interviewing, application do’s and don’ts, the application process, assessment center, appropriate behavior, dress code, social media recruiting, etc.

Upon completion of this course students will have a general overview about the area of channel management/logistics as well as sales management.
