On May 11, 2017, LBS Bachelor’s and Master students had the opportunity to participate in a job application workshop organized by the Director of the Bachelor Studies, Prof. (FH) Mag. Julius Dem, MBA, and the LBS Career Center. In the course of the workshop students could discuss various job application topics such as interviewing, application do’s and don’ts, the application process, assessment center, appropriate behavior, dress code, social media recruiting, etc.

Divided into 3 groups and guided by the recruiting experts Prof. (FH) Mag. Dina Margules-Rappaport, Mag. Alexander Iellatchitch and Prof. (FH) Mag. Julius Dem, students could come together and exchange their experiences so far, gain insights from their peers and learn what HR managers expect to hear. Having both Master and Bachelor students contributed to the dynamics of the workshop and enhanced the learning experience. In small groups they did interview exercises, asked questions, and received individual feedback on their CVs. Towards the end, the students had the possibility to participate in a professional application photo shoot and add a final touch to their CVs.

BFC16 student Ermina Prnjavorac describes her experience, “I think that workshop was great. It helped me better understand and prepare myself for possible questions on future interviews. And based on the advice I received, I already changed my CV completely!”

Lauder Business School wishes you best of luck for your job/internship applications!
