LBS continues Harvard MOC activities

Prof. (FH) Martin Samek has recently participated in the MOC Affiliate Workshop at Harvard Business School to update Lauder Business School about the network’s achievements and future projects as well as to intensify the collaboration with other universities. Two days full of interesting presentations, fruitful discussions and meetings were concluded with Prof. Michael E. Porter’s report on the U.S. Competitiveness Project – Problems Unsolved and a Nation Divided.

Dr. Christian Reiner, our Senior Researcher at Lauder Business School will participate in a public discussion on economic policy in Austria and Germany since the 1970s as a guest speaker. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 7 at 18:30 in the specialist bookshop of the ÖGB publisher (Fachbuchhandlung des ÖGB Verlags), located in Vienna in Rathausstraße 21.

LBS alumna Andrea Gegö (IML 2014) completed her master thesis on social entrepreneurship in Austria titled “Unravelling the Reality of the Austrian Social Entrepreneurs while Looking for Solutions in Tailored Educational Programs” under the supervision of Prof. Mag. Robert Schwertner, working for the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft, FFG).

LBS concluded a MoU with Bar-Ilan University

Lauder Business School concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bar-Ilan University which sets the path for future staff and student mobility. Bar-Ilan University is the fastest-growing institution of higher education in Israel and offers BA, MA and PhD degrees on an award-winning campus near Tel Aviv.

Young Israeli Leaders visiting Lauder Business School

On December 1, 2016, Lauder Business School hosted a Young Israeli Leaders Delegation consisting of 30 participants working for various organizations in the public and private sector in Israel. The purpose of this visit was to introduce Lauder Business School to the leaders of tomorrow and to identify potential areas of cooperation. The delegation was accompanied by Dr. Teresa Indjein and Dr. Markus Benesch from the Cultural and Integration Sections of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, as well as Dr. Susanne Keppler-Schlesinger, the Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.

LBS and IDC Herzliya have signed a Memorandum of Understanding

Lauder Business School (LBS) and Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to set the basis for their student, staff and lecturer exchange in the frame of Erasmus+. Thus, IDC Herzliya is the second Israeli institution that LBS is intending to collaborate with very closely, the first being Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
