On November 30, 2017 representatives from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) visited Lauder Business School as part of the LBS Career Center activities to present their Sales Graduate Program and meet the best LBS students. HPE Sales Manager Michael Dornheim and Graduate Account Manager Dennis Heumann introduced the digital disruption and transformation era and explained how HPE as a company is responding to these challenges with their solutions, products and services.

On November 27, 2017, Dr. Christian Reiner, Senior Researcher at Lauder Business School, participated in a workshop at the Austrian National Bank on economic education in Austrian schools. This workshop was part of the conference “Wirtschaftliche Allgemeinbildung hat Zukunft: 55 Jahre Geographie und Wirtschaftskunde“, organized by the University of Vienna. In particular, Dr. Reiner was asked to discuss the topic of macroeconomics together with other experts in one of the several workshops.

The LBS Working Paper Series “LBS Working Papers” aims at presenting applied research completed by LBS faculty, outstanding graduates and partners. Topics include subjects taught and researched at LBS’s degree programs (1) International Business Administration, (2) International Management and Leadership (3) and Banking, Finance and Compliance. Successful master graduates will be invited to publish condensed versions of their theses.

Lauder Business School is very happy to continue with the Graduate Research Assistant Program (GRAP) for the academic year 2018/19. Based on the shortlist of Prof. (FH) Dr. Armin Kammel, LL.M., MBA, Ms. Ermina Prnjavorac (BFC16) has been selected as the next GRA. During her master studies at LBS, Ms. Prnjavorac developed a special interest in Financial Law and Banking Regulation and saw GRAP as an opportunity to further develop it.

Lauder Business School honors its most accomplished students with a bestowal of the Director’s List. The Director’s List is a type of scholarship that recognizes the achievement of Bachelor and Master students semester by semester. In order to be eligible for the Director’s List, students must have a semester GA of 1.25 or below (based on first exam attempts with a minimum of 25 examined ECTS in the respective semester). In recognition of the extraordinary academic achievement in the spring term 2016/2017, two master students have been placed on the Director’s List — congratulations to Ramona SCHILLEIN (IML 2016; GA: 1.17) and Katharina HÖFLER (IML 2016, GA: 1,25)!
