LBS alumna researching Social Entrepreneurship in Austria

LBS alumna Andrea Gegö (IML 2014) completed her master thesis on social entrepreneurship in Austria titled “Unravelling the Reality of the Austrian Social Entrepreneurs while Looking for Solutions in Tailored Educational Programs” under the supervision of Prof. Mag. Robert Schwertner, working for the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft, FFG).

LBS students visit Erste Bank Campus

On Thursday, January 26, 2017, LBS students had the opportunity to visit the new Erste Bank Campus in Vienna. The event was a continuation of Chairman of the Board of Erste Group AG Mag. Andreas Treichl’s Fireplace Talk at LBS. The visit was organized by the LBS Career Center with the aim to present the Erste Bank Group as an attractive employer to LBS students.

Young Israeli Leaders visiting Lauder Business School

On December 1, 2016, Lauder Business School hosted a Young Israeli Leaders Delegation consisting of 30 participants working for various organizations in the public and private sector in Israel. The purpose of this visit was to introduce Lauder Business School to the leaders of tomorrow and to identify potential areas of cooperation. The delegation was accompanied by Dr. Teresa Indjein and Dr. Markus Benesch from the Cultural and Integration Sections of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, as well as Dr. Susanne Keppler-Schlesinger, the Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.

Guest Lecturers in the BFC Classrooms

Ing. Mag. Robert Kotal CFP®EFA®, professor in the Banking, Finance and Compliance (BFC) master’s degree program at Lauder Business School, invited two guest lecturers to contribute their professional expertise to his teaching sessions. On November 21, 2016, Mag. Leopold Quell, Senior Fund Manager at Raiffeisen Capital Management and a Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM) gave a lecture as part of the Financial Instruments and Trading course. He has been a fund manager for 16 years and become a specialist for managing funds in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
