


New Graduate Research Assistant at LBS
We are happy to announce that Clemens Weisgram, Master student of our Banking, Finance and Compliance (BFC) program, was appointed as the new Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) at Lauder Business School. In the forthcoming spring term, he will work together with Dr. Christian Reiner, Senior Researcher at LBS, on research projects in the field of real estate economics. The projects are part of an ongoing research cooperation between the LBS and the Institute for Urban and Regional Research at the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

Study in Israel with Erasmus+: CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The Erasmus+ program expanded from Europe to many other regions of the world โ among others to Israel! We are proud to announce that the application period for all bachelor students of the cohort 2017 who want to go on an exchange semester in the fall 2018 to Israel is open now!

New research projects at LBS
Christian Reiner, senior researcher at the Lauder Business School, is participating in two recent contract research projects and has published a new paper. The first research project, a project with the centre for Social Innovation (ZSI), is financed by the Austrian Wirtschaftsservice (AWS). The aim is to evaluate and provide suggestions for improving the ex-ante project evaluation scheme of AWS. The project deals with the allocation of public subsidies for private companies, especially but not exclusively start-ups.

Guest Lecturers in our BFC classes
Ing. Mag. Robert Kotal CFPยฎEFAยฎ, lecturer in the Banking, Finance and Compliance (BFC) masterโs degree program at Lauder Business School, invited three guest lecturers to contribute their professional expertise to his teaching sessions.

LBS Senior Researcher at the Austrian National Bank
On November 27, 2017, Dr. Christian Reiner, Senior Researcher at Lauder Business School, participated in a workshop at the Austrian National Bank on economic education in Austrian schools. This workshop was part of the conference โWirtschaftliche Allgemeinbildung hat Zukunft: 55 Jahre Geographie und Wirtschaftskundeโ, organized by the University of Vienna. In particular, Dr. Reiner was asked to discuss the topic of macroeconomics together with other experts in one of the several workshops.
