New research projects at LBS

Christian Reiner, senior researcher at the Lauder Business School, is participating in two recent contract research projects and has published a new paper. The first research project, a project with the centre for Social Innovation (ZSI), is financed by the Austrian Wirtschaftsservice (AWS). The aim is to evaluate and provide suggestions for improving the ex-ante project evaluation scheme of AWS. The project deals with the allocation of public subsidies for private companies, especially but not exclusively start-ups.

On November 27, 2017, Dr. Christian Reiner, Senior Researcher at Lauder Business School, participated in a workshop at the Austrian National Bank on economic education in Austrian schools. This workshop was part of the conference “Wirtschaftliche Allgemeinbildung hat Zukunft: 55 Jahre Geographie und Wirtschaftskunde“, organized by the University of Vienna. In particular, Dr. Reiner was asked to discuss the topic of macroeconomics together with other experts in one of the several workshops.

The LBS Working Paper Series “LBS Working Papers” aims at presenting applied research completed by LBS faculty, outstanding graduates and partners. Topics include subjects taught and researched at LBS’s degree programs (1) International Business Administration, (2) International Management and Leadership (3) and Banking, Finance and Compliance. Successful master graduates will be invited to publish condensed versions of their theses.

FIRST YEAR OF THE GRAP AND WHAT IS COMING NEXT

Lauder Business School is very happy to continue with the Graduate Research Assistant Program (GRAP) for the academic year 2018/19. Based on the shortlist of Prof. (FH) Dr. Armin Kammel, LL.M., MBA, Ms. Ermina Prnjavorac (BFC16) has been selected as the next GRA. During her master studies at LBS, Ms. Prnjavorac developed a special interest in Financial Law and Banking Regulation and saw GRAP as an opportunity to further develop it.
