Prof. Dr. Pablo Collazzo
Bucharest, Romania
Erasmus staff mobility (SMT)
October 29-31, 2015

LBS faculty member Professor Pablo Collazzo visited the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest. The mobility was granted in order to share and discuss his ongoing research. The ultimate purpose was to disseminate applied research activities conducted at Lauder Business School and the Institute of Competitiveness (IoC) at LBS, and exchange best practices on graduate training and research supervision in the field of competitiveness.

The experience resulted in relevant shared learning for both the host and the sending institutions, as several projects were benchmarked, at different stages of the research training and supervision processes. Additionally, the mobility laid the foundations for future bilateral cooperation, initially targeting the co-supervision of graduate research and joint faculty development activities. The value of this mobility is being multiplied upon Professor Collazzo’s return, as the experience and learnings are shared with colleagues and students at Lauder Business School.

On the occasion of his sojourn in Bucharest, Professor Collazzo presented his paper Fast-Growth Economies and the Determinants of Competitiveness in Latin America and the Caribbean (co-authored with Loic Taieb of the Grenoble Ecole de Management) at the Strategica 2015 conference. The contribution received the conference’s Best Paper Award.

Professor Collazzo’s award-winning paper was published in the LBS Working Paper Series.
