Lauder Business School (LBS) always strives to connect scientific research and teaching with contemporary societal issues. Hence, it has recently joined the Alliance for Responsible Science, as part of the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW).
In collaboration with numerous institutions from the fields of science, research, education and practice, the Alliance aims to actively involve civil society in research and innovation processes, so that current challenges can be met in a more effective way and in line with the values, expectations and requirements of society.
By signing the Memorandum of Understanding, Lauder Business School has agreed to pursue a number of goals, for example:
• Translating societal challenges into scientific and institutional strategies, concepts and projects
• Reflecting upon and integrating relevant concepts, e.g. Citizen Science, Crowdsourcing and Open Innovation in its institutional profile
• Transferring and regenerating the acquired scientific and artistic knowledge into politics and administration, into the economy, the media and civil society.
