The NIDA Young MBA students with Prof. Collazzo, Prof. Amornpetchkul, Prof. Chiralaksanakul , LBS Chairperson of the Council Prof. Martin Samek, and LBS Head of International Relations Prof. Elisabeth Kübler.A delegation from the Bangkok-based National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) recently visited LBS as part of a study trip to Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany. NIDA is one of the most eminent Asian business schools in the Harvard MOC Network, of which also LBS is part.

40 outstanding students of NIDA’s Young MBA Program toured Central Europe in order to explore local competitiveness and entrepreneurship concepts both in universities and companies. The delegation was headed by Professor Thunyarat Amornpetchkul, who is Director of the Center for Enhancing Competitiveness and of the NIDA University Business Incubator, and by Director of the Young Executive MBA Program Professor Anukal Chiralaksanakul.

The stint in Vienna included a visit to the LBS campus and to Vienna University of Economics and Business with WU and LBS Professor Pablo Collazzo. The Thai delegation attended a lecture on city competitiveness with a focus on Vienna, and audited a class in Entrepreneurial and Social Media Marketing in LBS’s IML master’s program. As part of the joint activities, LBS and NIDA students exchanged ideas on entrepreneurship and competitiveness in different parts of the world.

LBS is extremely pleased to strengthen its ties with NIDA Business School in the future with the aim of developing a fruitful academic cooperation.
