Vienna was once again ranked the city with the highest quality of life — for the eighth year in a row!
According the results of the Annual Mercer Quality of Life Survey, which compares 231 cities by evaluating various quality-of-life factors (including healthcare, education, infrastructure, housing and environment), Vienna maintained its top ranking in 2017.
“Despite increased political and financial volatility in Europe, many of its cities offer the world’s highest quality of living and remain attractive destinations for expanding business operations and sending expatriates on assignment”, as is stated in Mercer’s press release. The top 10 list is still dominated by German and Swiss cities, for example Zurich (2), Munich (4), Dusseldorf (6), Frankfurt (7) and Geneva (8).
