The Profil High Potential Day 2013

Employability in internationally operating business constitutes a core element of LBS’s mission. In June 2013, twelve outstanding LBS students had the opportunity to meet Austrian top-level employers at the annual Profil High Potential Day. This event was organized by the leading Austrian news magazine Profil and took place in the exquisite location of Vienna’s City Hall. In order to qualify for this event, LBS’s graduating students had to undergo a competitive selection process. But their efforts paid off. “It was a day full of interesting conversations with possible future employers. I got a lot of information on different opportunities and hints where to apply. I could find out if there is a principal match between my competences and the requirements of the companies. Furthermore it was a great chance to network”, as one master student recounts. Another LBS participant emphasises the High Potential Day’s exclusivity. “Out of a few dozens of well-established companies, students are able to pick their six favourites. At the end, you will get at least one personal appointment, probably more, out of the six companies you have chosen. Nevertheless, you are also allowed to visit platforms of other companies too.” The Profil High Potential Day provided a unique venue for networking by bringing together high-flying graduate level students and recruiters.
