Dr. Hannes Ametsreiter, CEO of Vodafone Germany and Member of the Vodafone Group Executive Committee, paid a visit in the Lauder Business School to talk about his approach to management and leadership as a key decision maker in a globally operating group. Prior to embarking on a senior management career in Vodafone Germany, Dr. Hannes Ametsreiter won great acclaim as the Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Telekom Austria Group, and was also the CEO of A1 Telekom.
As part of this fireplace talk, Mr. Ametsreiter recounted his career path leading to his successful activities as Austrian manager of A1 Telekom, where he was responsible for the merging of landline and mobile phone technology among other things, as well as to his current position as top manager of the second largest mobile phone provider worldwide – Vodaphone. He offered extensive insights into the digital future and the profound changes to civil society, which will follow as s result.
This fireplace talk provided a unique opportunity for the LBS academic community to gain insight into Dr. Ametsreiter’s remarkable career.
