At Lauder Business School, we love seeing where our graduates’ journeys take them. One inspiring example is Roman Namdar, who completed the LBS former Master’s Program in Banking, Finance, and Compliance (now Strategic Finance and Business Analytics) in January 2020.

Today, Roman works as Manager, Credit Risk Services at Lennox International in Richardson, Texas. In his role, he is responsible for assessing credit risk, strengthening policies, and helping protect the organization through strategic and compliant decision-making. His work requires analytical precision, regulatory awareness, and strong collaboration across teams—skills he began sharpening during his time at LBS.

Looking back, Roman describes his LBS experience as both rigorous and rewarding. The program’s strong focus on financial principles, risk management, and compliance gave him a solid technical foundation. At the same time, the school’s international and highly diverse environment helped him develop adaptability and cultural awareness—qualities that are essential in global business today.

Certain courses had a particularly lasting impact. Risk Management with Donald Baillie and Financial Law classes with Armin Kammel shaped his understanding of compliance frameworks and strengthened his professional direction.

When asked what made his time at LBS truly special, Roman highlights the relationships he built. The connections with classmates have endured over the years, evolving into a supportive professional network where experiences and insights are shared long after graduation.

His advice to current and prospective students?

Be ready for a challenge—and embrace it: “The boutique nature of the school offers valuable, intimate learning and relationship-building opportunities. The curriculum is rigorous, and the professors are exceptional. Take full advantage of their expertise and engage with them as much as possible.”

We are proud to see Roman thriving internationally and representing the values of LBS in the global business community.
