On November 30, 2017 representatives from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) visited Lauder Business School as part of the LBS Career Center activities to present their Sales Graduate Program and meet the best LBS students. HPE Sales Manager Michael Dornheim and Graduate Account Manager Dennis Heumann introduced the digital disruption and transformation era and explained how HPE as a company is responding to these challenges with their solutions, products and services. Their leitmotif can be summed up as “make hybrid IT simple”. Michael Dornheim emphasized the fact that we live in an era where “everything is connected, from your phone to your washing machine”, and that “technology will be everywhere”.
HPE has four major sales hubs in Europe (Barcelona, Erskine, Prague, Berlin) for which they are constantly recruiting top business students with international experience. In continuation of the event, the speakers presented diverse career opportunities at HPE, especially focusing on the two-year Sales Graduate Program and internship possibilities (e.g. Sales and Sales Support, Technical Services and Consulting, Sales Manager – Data Center Remarketing). Dennis Heuman, HPE Talent Scout and soon-to-be-graduate from the international Sales Graduate Program, presented the program as the new style of sales where students have the possibility to take on much responsibility and manage their own accounts.
As for the prerequisites to apply for the program, they include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in business or engineering, completed within the last two years
- Ability to work in an international environment
- Fluency in local language and English
- Passion for technology and sales
- Drive to go after sales goals and uncover new leads
In conclusion, LBS students had the chance to participate in the CV speed dating session and interview for the vacancies on the spot, to enter the HPE talent pool and to network with our guests.
