As part of a project funded by the City of Vienna, Lauder Business School is seeking to appoint an endowed professorship at the intersection of Finance and AI, or Finance and ESG.

Applications are invited from scholars with demonstrated academic excellence, pedagogical expertise, and, ideally, relevant professional experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and advancing teaching and research in Finance, with particular emphasis on Sustainable Finance, Emerging Markets, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Qualifications

  • PhD in Economics or Business
  • Experience in teaching and research, ideally complemented by professional practice in the private sector
  • Expertise in Finance and ESG and/or Emerging Markets and/or AI
  • Strong command of quantitative methods
  • Excellent English skills
  • Proficiency with IT and Finance tools (Bloomberg, R, AI)
  • Demonstrated pedagogical ability
  • Experience in securing external funding is desirable

Preference will be given to equally qualified female candidates. For the entire duration of the endowed professorship, a student assistant position (part-time, marginal employment) will be provided.

This position carries a gross annual salary of EUR 70,000.00.
