The European Central Bank is recruiting trainees (100 positions total across profiles) for its Banking Supervision division under the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM).

Who They’re Looking For
Students or recent graduates (Bachelor’s or higher) in:

  • Economics, finance, business, law, political science, accounting, international relations, European studies, risk management, or related fields

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Interest in banking supervision, financial stability, and EU institutions

  • English (C1) + another EU language (B1)

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to supervisory reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory analysis

  • Join meetings with banks and supervisors

  • Analyse reports, draft memos, prepare presentations

  • Support supervisory processes, projects, and methodology development

  • Work in an international, multicultural team with training, mentoring, and networking opportunities
