Carmen Carmona Fernández has had a lengthy academic career. Presently, she is a Spanish Lecturer at Sprachenzentrum der Universität Wien (the Language Center of the University of Vienna). She has held several academic positions, including positions as lecturer in Spanish literature at the Institute of Roman Languages Studies at the University of Vienna and in Business Spanish at the BFI University of Applied Sciences in Vienna. Additionally, she has taught in Austria and Spain. She possesses a Master’s degree in Spanish and Literature Studies from the University of Granada, Spain. She has also developed Study Programs for several teaching institutions. She was a long term examiner and assessor for the annual Spanish Language Competition held by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and the Austrian Ministry of Education. She is a member of Austrian Association of Spanish Teachers (AAPE).
