Microeconomics of competitiveness (MOC) is a course platform developed by Prof. Michael Porter at Harvard Business School. MOC courses are concerned with the determinants of competitiveness and economic development viewed from a bottom up, microeconomic perspective. MOC courses can only be held by specifically trained professors. With the MOC network, Prof. Porter intended to intensify and disseminate research and teaching in the area of MOC. Launched in 2002, the network has grown to more than 100 educational institutions teaching the curriculum in over 65 countries worldwide.
