SANDRA PAUSER @ BAR-ILAN UNIVERSITY, RAMAT-GAN, ISRAEL

Dr. Sandra Pauser visited Bar-Ilan University (Ramat Gan, Israel) in June 2018, as part of the Erasmus+ mobility program. Her teaching mobility comprised an International Marketing course at the Graduate School of Business Administration, which offers an Executive MBA program for experienced business managers, as well as a 1-year International MBA program taught entirely in English.

This advanced course in International Marketing offered students, from both study programs, an enhanced understanding of International Marketing Management by focusing on concepts, tools, and techniques for analyzing global marketing strategies and the global marketing environment. Students from Argentina, China, Guatemala, Nigeria, Russia, UK, USA, and of course Israel, obtained knowledge in the evaluation and implementation of international marketing strategies in both theory and practice by applying key concepts to real-life business situations and case studies.

Besides her teaching activity, Dr. Pauser had the opportunity to meet the faculty members at Bar-Ilan University.

“The mobility allowed an exchange of opinions, knowledge, ideas, and experiences in the marketing discipline with renewed researchers and professors. I highly encourage lecturers to participate in the teaching mobility to gain new experiences abroad, which can be implemented at the sending institution thereafter.”

Moreover, in meetings with the director of the International MBA Program and the Chairman of the Graduate School of Business Administration at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Pauser gained insights into the organizational structure and research activities at Bar-Ilan University, and at the same time had the chance to present her areas of research.

“I was impressed by the positive responses I received from students and the faculty members at Bar-Ilan University. I recommend the exchange program for three reasons: 1) exchange of knowledge and expertise; experience a different cultural setting and teaching methods, 2) cooperation among the sending – and the host-institution in terms of teaching and research, 3) develop partnerships on possible future projects.”
