Erasmus staff mobility
August 27-31, 2015

As part of the ERASMUS+ staff mobility program, BFC faculty member Professor Dr. Armin Kammel spent several days in London conducting independent research at the Institute of Economic Affairs (iea). Dr. Kammel has been an IEA Fellow in Law & Economics since 2012. The iea is one of the oldest free market think tanks in the UK and is based in Westminster, London.

Although its staff, fellows and members represent a huge diversity of views (and iea has no corporate view), it promotes the idea of free market economics. In this respect, it publishes an academic journal, books and organizes lectures on a regular basis. The core research areas of iea are business ethics, economic development, education, pensions, regulation, taxation and transport.

Dr. Kammel conducted his research in the context of the nexus of financial globalization and regulatory responses which will lead to a submission for an international journal in Asia. Moreover, Dr. Kammel spent his time designing new courses for LBS in the area of financial law.

Due to the fact that Dr. Kammel is the only iea Fellow from Austria, there is a mutual interest for further collaboration between LBS and iea.

For further information about the iea see www.iea.org.uk.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
