Dr. Tamás Csermely

Tamás Csermely gained his PhD in operations management and logistics at the University of Vienna where his research focused on behavioral decisions in supply chain- and economics-related settings. In addition, he has attended Indiana University Bloomington and he has received the Scholarship of the Hungarian Republic 4 times. He has published several articles in scientific and professional journals and his research has also been featured in Die Presse. He is an affiliate of the Microeconomics of Competitiveness Network at Harvard Business School and he has participated in several renowned conferences and held talks at the Universities of Oxford, Toronto, Cornell and Shanghai. When it comes to teaching, he is a devoted advocate of gamification, experience- and case-study-based methods. He also serves as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization (JEBO) and the Journal of Business Economics (JBE).
Professionally, he used to work in the Emerging Markets/Quantitative Research/Asset Allocation division of Raiffeisen Bank International and also as a research and teaching associate at the WU Vienna during his early career. In 2015, he was appointed Head of Procurement at Quantoras, an Austrian technology-based consulting company, where he became responsible for managing the purchasing team, leading dozens of large-scale supply chain projects and also for the company’s strategic direction. Before having been appointed as the Director of Master Studies at the Lauder Business School, he made a name for himself on saving 14.2% on average in several branches (base chemicals, metals, automotive, textile, pharmaceutical, foundry, construction, etc.) for the company’s clients – which were world market leaders in their segments in several cases. He also proved his stress resistance by answering 10 questions correctly in the ‘Who Wants To Be a Millionaire’ TV show.

Manuel Albaladejo, Mphil.
Manuel Albaladejo is an industrial economist working for UNIDO’s policy unit. He has more than 20 years of professional experience in research and advisory work in developing countries in the fields of trade and industry policy, institutional capacity building and investment and business climate. He joined UNIDO in 2007 and has led the program on strategic industrial intelligence and governance implemented in several countries, including Ecuador, Colombia, Paraguay, Cape Verde, Rwanda, Tanzania and Vietnam.
Before joining UNIDO he worked at the World Bank in Indonesia as private sector development and trade specialist leading the trade capacity building program and the rapid response facility on investment climate. Prior to the World Bank he was a research officer at the International Development Center (Queen Elizabeth House) of Oxford University where he published in the fields of innovation capabilities of SMEs, industrial and trade competitiveness and fragmentation. He has worked as consultant to many international organizations including the IADB, ADB, the World Bank, UNCTAD, UNIDO, UNECA and USAID. He has trained more than 300 government officials on industrial competitiveness and sectoral and value chain analysis. He holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies at the University of Sussex in the UK.
Prof. (FH) Dr. Pablo Collazzo-Yelpo, MBA
Pablo Collazzo-Yelpo has an extensive academic and professional experience in the sustainable competitiveness and strategic leadership fields. He is currently Professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Lauder Business School. A former Rector of Universidad del Pacífico in Ecuador, he was also Chair of the Institute for Responsible Competitiveness at Nyenrode University in the Netherlands. Prior to that, he was Director of Academic Affairs at the European Academy of Business in Society in Brussels, after an international career in investment banking. He serves as board member to profit and non-profit organizations and is Senior Advisor on Sustainable Competitiveness to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.
His academic background is in law and economics, with graduate studies at Boston University (MBA) and ESADE (PhD). His teaching, research and consulting are on strategy, sustainability and leadership. He is an Affiliate Faculty and Council Chair of the Competitiveness network at Harvard Business School, holds teaching appointments at Universidad Carlos III (Spain), the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) and NIDA (Thailand), and is a regular speaker to diverse audiences on the interplay of competitiveness, sustainability and leadership.
Univ. Doz. Mag. Dr. Claus Ebster, MSc, MBA
Claus Ebster has had a varied and widespread career in business and education. After studying in the US and Vienna, where he took his habilitation in Business Administration, he has taught extensively. Claus Ebster is associate professor (Universitätsdozent) of business administration at the University of Vienna and has extensive teaching experience at both the Vienna Medical University and Webster University. In addition to this, he is also the author of numerous academic articles and textbooks on marketing research, shopper marketing as well as the techniques of academic writing. Moreover, he is also the founder of Market Mentor Consulting.
Mag. Georg Gruber, MBA
Georg Gruber studied Business Computer Science in Linz; Austria and took his MBA at the University of Oregon. He pursued a career in international management at Proctor and Gamble before leading the Human Resources Department at Bank Austria. In 2007 he moved into the NGO sector managing the Austrian branch of Fairtrade, a global poverty fighting institution. Currently, he is heading the Raiffeisen Campus organization, an in-house training institute of the cooperative Raiffeisen Banking Group. He is also sitting on the Board of Fairtrade Austria, remaining heavily interested in the ethical implications of globalization.
Univ. Prof. Dr. Arno Haslberger, MSIR
As Senior Research Fellow at Middlesex University Arno Haslberger specializes in Organizational Behavior, Human Resources and Workplace Studies. He has taught at numerous universities in Austria, Germany, the UK, Spain and, inter alia, at Loyola University Chicago. He serves on the editorial boards of high-ranking academic journals such as the JGM, IJHRM and EJIM.
Dipl. Ing. Annette Hexelschneider
Annette Hexelscheider is a trainer, speaker and author in the field of Visualizing Knowledge. She lecturers at various University of Applied Sciences, including LBS, and, before that, she was Head of the Knowledge and Information Management Support Unit at the UN-affiliated European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research, Vienna. She has published prodigiously including monographs on Personnel Management and Knowledge Management.

Stephan Jung is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Business Department of IMC University of Applied Sciences. Holding academic degrees from TU Munich, LMU Munich and WU Vienna, Stephan Jung started his academic career as a visiting scholar at MIT Sloan School of Management and during his PhD studies at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at WU Vienna. Concomitantly, he has been involved in numerous successful start-up ventures for more than a decade.

With considerable experience in the area of Human Resource Management and Organizational Development, Dina Margules-Rappaport teaches various related courses at LBS and is also Vice-President of the LBS Council. Dina holds a degree in Commercial Sciences from the Wirtschaftsuniversität, Vienna, and has taken many courses relating to Project Management, Human Resource Management and Organizational Development. She was a HR Manager at emarsys – emarketing systems as well as a partner at Personalentwicklungsfirma ITO. She leads regular coaching and mentoring sessions and is the CEO and HR Manager of a private school.
Dr. Philip Pfaller
Phillip Pfaller gained his PhD in Economic and Social Sciences at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and holds a Masters degree in Commercial Science. He started his career as a business trainer and in, 2002, he co-founded the web-agency LimeSoda where he still holds the position of CEO. Since 2009 he has held positions as a lecturer at various Austrian Universities where he teaches Online Marketing, Search Engine Marketing and Social Media, as well as supervising Master Thesis projects.
Bernd Pfeiffer graduated in Web design and Development at the SAE Institute Vienna. He started his professional career as an IT consultant and web designer. In 2002, he co-founded the web-agency LimeSoda where he still holds the position of Creative Director and Social Media expert. At LimeSoda about 30 employees service major Austrian and international customers in the fields of e-commerce, digital strategy, online marketing and social media.
Univ. Prof. Dr. Alexander Prosser
Having completed his habilitation and received his PhD in Economics and Business from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Alexander Prosser embarked on his academic career. This career has taken him from teaching at the HEC in Paris, through lecturing at the School of Business at the University of Technology, Sydney to his current positions. He is now the Professor at the Department of Information Systems and Operations at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, as well as being Member of the Board of the Austrian Computer Society and Chairman of the eGovernment Forum. He has received the European eGovernment Award, the BMW Scientific Award, and the Senator Wilfing Award amongst other awards.
Prof. (FH) Dr. Hanno Pöschl, MSc, MBA
Hanno Pöschl gained his PhD in Business Administration and Economics from the University Trier/GER and holds Master degrees in International Finance and Accounting as well as Business Administration (MBA) from the OUBS/UK and is a Certified International Controller. Before joining Lauder Business School/AUT in 2014 he has been Research Professor for Strategic Management and Corporate Finance at Webster University/US since 2008, where he also served as area coordinator for Business administration and Management. He holds/has held positions as lecturer at prestigious English, American and Austrian Universities, where he teaches/taught Strategic Management, Corporate Finance as well as Accounting and Controlling courses at Bachelor and Master level in the UK, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. He serves/served as Senator of the faculty senate, member of the Council, member of scientific advisory boards and as standing member in examination boards. In his most recent publication “Strategische Unternehmensführung zwischen Shareholder-Value und Stakeholder-Value“ at Springer/Gabler, he challenges reductionist management approaches built upon the sole goal of shareholder-value creation and proposes a systemic-coevolutionary model of strategic management on the basis of an obliged management philosophy towards a sustainable stakeholder value based strategic management.
He has also been involved in corporate training at C-level for international companies in various sectors. Before entering his academic career he accumulated senior management position experience in the private sector, public administration and in politics as Member of Parliament.
Dr. Alexander Rabas
Alexander Rabas studied Statistics and Economics at the University of Vienna, and finished his PhD in the field of Behavioral Economics. Among his research topics are statistics, risk management, game theory and gender models in the labor market. Currently he is employed as a data analyst at Win2Day Holdings.
Dr. Verena Régent
Verena Régent studied Sociology and Socio-Economics at the Universities of Linz and Helsinki. She earned her Doctor’s degree at the JKU Linz with a dissertation about the EU migration and asylum regime and its compatibility with Human Rights. Until 2009, Verena worked as Young Professional at the Permanent Mission of Austria to the United Nations in Geneva and in the Austrian Foreign Ministry. As of 2010, she has been working as research manager and researcher at the Max Planck Society in Munich and a small research oriented Viennese enterprise. Before joining LBS, Verena was working for a consulting company supporting research institutions in acquiring project funding (in particular Horizon2020). Moreover, she has been teaching research methods and project management at the Universities of Applied Sciences Vienna and Eisenstadt since 2013.
Prof. Philippe Rosinski, Ir, MS, MCC
Philippe Rosinski is a world authority in executive coaching, team coaching and global leadership development. He is also an author and academic. The Harvard Business School chose his Coaching Across Cultures as its featured book recommendation in the category of business leadership and his latest book, Global Coaching, has been described as ‘having moved the art and science of coaching to a new level.’ He is a professor in the MBA program for global managers at the Kenichi Ohmae Graduate School of Business in Tokyo, Japan and a visiting professor at the University of Economics in Prague and he has spoken at numerous international conferences.
Univ.Prof. Dr. A. Nicholas Simon, J.D.
Nicholas Simon received Juris Doctor Degrees from both Boston University School of Law and the University of Vienna. A member of the bar in Massachusetts and Austria, he is a specialist in international commercial transactions at his Vienna-based law firm Andréewitch & Simon. Professor Simon serves as an Adjunct Professor for International Business Law at Webster University Vienna and as a lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. At Webster he received the Excellency in Teaching Award (1989), the Distinguished Services Award (1997) and Professor of the Year Award (2003).

After completing her PhD in Educational Psychology at the University of Klagenfurt (‘Surviving in the Post-Industrial Society: An Empirical Study on Self-Steered Life and Career Designing), Edith Singer became a Chartered Career Consultant and, in 2004, she took her Executive Coaching Master class. She teaches courses in Personal Development and also Psychology at various Universities of Applied Sciences. Additionally, she is Owner of Life and Career Design and a Consultant at Singer Business Consulting.
Prof. Joel Stern
Joel Stern is the Chairman, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stern Value Management Ltd. Before that, he served as President of Chase Financial Policy. In addition he has been widely published and has appeared on national business news programs, including CNN’s ‘Moneyline’ and ‘Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser’. He also has been a columnist for the Financial Times and the Sunday Times. Joel Stern is the author of two books on financial economics. In addition he is an adjunct professor at six Graduate Schools in the US.
Miguel Suarez, MSc, MBA
Miguel Suarez is currently doing his PhD at the Vienna University of Economics and Business in the research field of Supply Chain Finance in parallel to his activities as independent consultant. He studied industrial engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru and did a MBA at the Instituto de Empresa in Spain. From 1992 he has worked first as a management consultant and later as a supply chain director in different international companies as ITT Fluid Technologies, Accenture, Miebach, Kotanyi, Swarovski and Lafarge. He has taught widely, both at Universities of Applied Sciences and at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, where he still lectures in the Masters program (Logistics and Supply Chain Management). He publishes and is a regular speaker at congresses in the area of supply chain management. In 2010 he won the Austrian award for the most innovative Supply Chain.
Dr. Mag. Christin Vallinkoski, MA
Christin Vallinkoski studied Political Science, Communication Science and Literature in Austria and England. She holds a master degree with distinction in Communication Science from the University Vienna and a master degree with distinction in Literary Studies from the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at OU/England. She earned her PhD with distinction under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Eva Kreisky at the institute of Political Science with a dissertation about the role of literature between the poles of critical political awareness and state-constitution as well as state-support in authoritarian political systems. She works/worked as an expert advisor and scientific assistant in public administration and several university settings, as a journalist and author. She has published several short stories in anthologies like West-Östliche Diven (DTV) and En Detail (Holzhausen).
Gordon van der Veen, MA (Mgt) PGDBA
Gordon F. van der Veen is an international management consultant to major blue chip undertakings and international organizations such as the European Central Bank, the European System of Central Banks, IBM, Tomra Sorting, Electrolux and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. He has extensive international management, strategy, supply chain management, finance and accounting, consultancy and teaching experience in businesses as diverse as turnkey project management, information technology, auditing, energy conservation, construction, development consultancy, management consultancy, and management education consultancy.
He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Van Der Veen Management Services and a Senior Adjunct Professor for Business and Management at Webster University, Vienna. His qualifications include a Masters degree in Management, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce. He is published on such subjects as Meso-Finance and Industrial Restructuring.”
Prof. Dr. Adriana Zait
Adriana Zait holds her PhD in Economics from the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University where she wrote her thesis on the subject of New Keynesian Models. In addition, she has her Master of Economics (Valedictorian) from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. After her studies she followed a career in Higher Education, being, since 1990, Professor and Director of the Research Department of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (Vienna). In addition to this, she has held many visiting professorships including at the UPMF Grenoble and the University of Konstanz.
Dr. Dagmar Zuchi
Dagmar Zuchi is a senior consultant and trainer. For a period of around 20 years she has gained valuable experience in managing and consulting projects, programmes, managing and supporting changes and developing people. She is a lecturer at the WU Vienna University of Economics and Business and at sev eral other universities. Dagmar got a certification as senior project manager by IPMA (Level B), by PMI (PMP) and PRINCE2 (P2 Practitioner) and has in depth knowledge of project management standards. She contributed as part of the Austrian Delegation to the development of the ISO 21500 “Project Management“ and is currently working at the ISO TC258 SG1 “Governance of Projects, Programmes and Portfolios”.
