Thank you for choosing Lauder Business School!

We are happy that you have decided to apply for one of our study programs. For a smooth running application, please read the information on this page carefully and then click on APPLY NOW.

We are very much looking forward to receiving your inquiry.

As a matter of fact, all our programs start in fall (Wintersemester), there is no possibility to apply for a spring term (Sommersemester).

The LBS has a multiphase admission process. The process is equal for all applicants:

 1. The first step in the admission process is sending an enquiry by using the APPLY NOW button.

2. Once we have received the request, the applicant will receive an application form including the list of required documents. When all documents are gathered, the application form and the documents should be sent back to the admission office. (Avoid sending the files individually)

3. Then, the application will be submitted for revision to the director of studies. If the application package is complete and has been aproved by the Director of Studies, the applicant will receive an essay question. The question has to be answered within 3 days and submitted for revision.

4. If the essay has been evaluated as positive, the applicant moves to the fourth and final stage of the admission process. In the fourth stage, the applicant will be invited to participate in the Assessment interview. (The interview dates are updated regularly)
The assessment interview is being conducted by the Director of Studies and another professor, the participants will be invited in pairs for the interview. Once the final stage has been mastered, the applicant will be informed via mail about the outcome.

Note 1: There is a possibility of failing in each stage of the admission process.
Note 2: You cannot apply twice for the same or antoher study program in the same academic year!
Note 3: If you are accepted at LBS, the first tuition fee payment is due before the issuance of enrolment documentation.

2.  All application documents have to be submitted in original and translation, if the documentation has not been issued bilingual or in English or in German.(including apostille ) e.g. birth certificates, school leaving certificates, Bachelor diplomas, reference letters if not written in English/German.

  • certified translation: it has been performed by a professional qualified translator, and accurately reflects the original. Each page must be stamped & signed by the translation provider. Some translation companies also provide a Certifying Letter – look after this – it’s the translation’s legal provenance and may be asked for.
  • Notarized translation may be needed where more serious legal matters hinge on accurate translation, such as evidence in a civil or criminal case. To notarize a translation the translator must personally attend a Public Notary’s offices, where they will swear before the Notary that they are a professionally qualified translator and that the translation is to the best of their knowledge accurate. The Notary will stamp and authorize the translation. You will need to ask for a duplicate, as a replacement will have to be re-notarized and therefore the same cost will be involved. Notarized documents incur additional legal costs and are often charged per document.
  •  Legalised translation may be required for court or civil cases outside the UK. Bureaucracy can extend significantly lead times for legalized translation, so be prepared to allow enough time. Costs vary depending on the country it is for, but we try to minimize these for you. The most common of these processes is apostilling under the Hague Convention.

3. Avoid sending each document individually!

Only complete applications can be considered, exception are made with High school diplomas or Bachelor diplomas – they can be submitted once the applicant has received it.

4.  The LBS reserves the right to request

SAT/ACT exams from Bachelor applicants and

GMAT exams from Master applicants.
